Gregory Gleaves, Speaker Beth Harwell’s chief of staff for the past two years, has agreed to join the Nashville-based lobbying, public relations and political consulting firm Hall Strategies.

Gleaves will lead Hall Strategies’ campaign practice as director of grassroots campaigns, the firm said. His last day in the speaker’s office is Aug. 6.

“Gregory has run numerous effective Tennessee campaigns,” Joe Hall, the firm’s founder, said in a statement. “He possesses a strategic mind and sharp instincts and knows how to win. The addition of Gregory to our team will provide a competitive edge to clients who operate in the public arena.”
