This afternoon, I ran into my County Legislator, Chris Higgins, in the halls of the New York Capitol. We were both awaiting an elevator and he told me that he had gotten my email. That was a couple of days ago so my old lady brain needed a nudge…the “going on record” email regarding my support for Tom Marcelle, as Dan McCoy’s selection for County Attorney. Ya see, I always urge folks to contact their legislator in writing because, if you are voicing your opinion or “blogging” your opinion, your legislator, as I discovered with Mr. Conti, my City rep, can still stand on the floor of the chamber and claim that he hasn’t heard from ANY constituents who oppose their vote.
