This morning, I sent a note over to Planned Parenthood to remove my name from their list of volunteers and supporters…I’ve been on that list since I was a teenager. My reason for disassociation was due to Planned Parenthood’s involvement in a matter in which they should not be involved as a nonprofit and a matter in which their involvement was ill-informed. That matter, was their joining the rest of the heretics in opposition to County Exec McCoy’s appointment of Tom Marcelle as County Attorney…but more on that later, my disassociation with PP was, coincidently, moments after returning from mass were I recieved a letter from Bishop Howard Hubbard, with an insert from my buddy, Archbishop Dolan, regarding a matter which negatively impacts the Church.
Bishop Hubbard explains that the US Department of Health has announced that Catholic employers will be forced to offer their employees health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs and contraception. Health insurers will be forced to include those “services” in their health policies and individuals will be “forced” to buy that coverage as part of their policies.
