WASHINGTON – The American Conservative Union today recognized Senator Chuck Grassley for votes on issues of interest to grass roots conservatives during the first session of the current Congress.

Grassley received his award for a 90-percent conservative voting record in 2011.  “This organization provides leadership for tax relief, fiscal discipline, and public policies that reflect grass roots conservative values,” Grassley said.  “I appreciate the award given today and the principles it represents.”

The American Conservative Union is the largest grassroots conservative organization in the nation.  Grassley is pictured here with the ACU Chairman Al Cardenas at a Capitol Hill reception earlier today.
